Just don't overdo it. Just a quick wipe with a cotton ball moisted with alcohol.
On clay chips I'd advise against it, but I think I've read about people having cleaned their clay chips with alcohol too.
Regular dishwashing fluid would be my recomendation. If the chips aren't really dirty, it seems to me you just want reassurance that they're germ-free, right? |

Good to hear from you. Yeah, they should probably be cleaned then...
No seriously, woud you clean them STANK, or just leave them as be?? You have seen them.
Maybe do as RadixLecti suggested, just use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball? Would that dry the chips in anyway or not harm them at all, when they are made of plastic?? I obviously don't want them to dry in any way, since oiling won't do anything for Bud Jones V7s.
Oh, and once again, I love these Wyndhams, STANK!
If you ever change your mind, I would be interested in buying 10 more of the $500s and I'm negotiable on price...
Thanks,

Do I need to wipe with water after using the solution of dishwashing detergent and water?? Will they else become greasy??
Just want to use a minimum of time on it.
Thanks,

Chips: 16 | | | Re: Should I clean Bud Jones V7 chips? Im speaking from experience, rubbing alcohol will ruin any Bud Jones chip. It artificially fades the colors and makes the plastic very brittle. I would not recommend it. I had a set of V7 chips that I cleaned. These particular chips were very, very dirty. I tried many different products but there was a specialized plastic cleaner called "Novus" that worked the best. You can get a big bottle of the stuff on eBay for $20 (you want the #1 version, #2 and #3 are plastic polishing pastes). It worked wonderfully.
There is actually a good specific application of rubbing alcohol on BJ chips, a lot of times if the BJ chips were rubbed together and there are color streaks from the different colored chips rubbing you can use a diluted gel rubbing alchohol like "Purell" to break up the errant streaks of color. It is something you should practice on "garbage" chips first because if you leave it on there too long youll remove the color streak and destroy the chip too! |

Chips: 1,722 | | | Re: Should I clean Bud Jones V7 chips? I own a lot of these casino used Wyndhams that look clean as well. I wouldn't try to clean them unless you see visible grim. I do wash my hands after playing with them and avoid snacking with my hands during play...a good idea with any chips you play with.
PM me for some Wyndham $500s...I have a great deal for you if you are willing to pick up some $25 chips. |

I ended up cleaning the Wyndham Bud Jones V7 chips yesterday.
Just soaked 50 chips at a time in some water with mild dishwashing detergent for a couple of minutes. I then took them up one by one and wiped/scrubbed them gently with a soft cloth soaked in the dishwashing detergent-water solution and then rinsed off each chip in running water. Placed 'em on a towel and dried them afterwards.
Worked a treat, and they are now clean and not sticky at all from the casino use.
So, I can recommend this approach for anyone who just wants to quickly clean their Bud Jones V7s, which are not noticably dirty, but where you prefer them to be germ free.
Can't wait to use the chips to night in my home game.
Thanks for all your replies and advice,
