Chips: 134 | | | Shuffling my Desert Palms... Hey there!
This week my brandnew 500 Desert Palms Set arrived and for me it's very difficult to shuffle e.g. 10 of them up. I really love the chips and their roughness and their sharp edges but I think that's the main reason for the shuffle-troubles...
Do you think, shuffling the chips would be easier, if i will oil them?
Or will it just take some time of handling, so that the edges "grind down" a bit and get less sharp?!?
Thanks for your advices, Eddy |

Just handle them and use them and you will notice them becoming easier to shuffle..I personally don't oil chips.

So You mean, oiling the chips doesn't really influence the "shuffleability"? |

It's kinda wierd as my new TR Kings are hard to shuffle, I can do it but its not smooth like with used casino Paulsons. My ASM's are a little easier but still not as smooth as broken in chips, so with use they will get easier to shuffle.

Chips: 807 | | | Re: Shuffling my Desert Palms... All clay chips can be hard to shuffle at first. For me, I find Blue Chip chips especially tough. When you first get them, the edges are extremely sharp. You'll notice that if you take a stack of chips and start shuffling them, after a few times they will eventually become easier and easier to shuffle. Oiling them will probably help a little, but youre gonna have to wear them in a bit before the shuffling becomes easy. |

OK, seems like I have to have a lot of poker-evenings! Should be possible
Totally different question: How can i get such a "signature" under every single post i write? |

Chips: 109 | | | Re: Shuffling my Desert Palms... A friend of mine just got a new set of Samurais. The day he got them, I handled them and they indeed were very difficult to shuffle. Since then he has oiled them. They look much better (colors are more saturated) but the oiling made no difference in shuffling. They just need to wear a little and they'll be fine. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
