Same method as the others. A cotton ball and nail polish remover. With the $1's, after you get the gold stamp off which is easy, the black stamp leaves a residue all over the chip. So you have to use another clean cotton ball with nail polish remover to clean it completely.

Try soaking the chips in ethyl based rubbing alcohol (not isopropyl alcohol). Let the chips soak for about 1-2 mins and the stamps basically fall off the chip. Just run them under the faucet and they are ready to go.

By far the easiest way to clean these chips and have some beauties!!! I cleaned 200 $5 chips today at work with this method. I tried on of the $.50 and it did not come out as well. I think I will leave those alone as well.

I have been using the cotton ball method. I will have to try the alcohol method tonight. Is it really that easy?

I put 20 in a bowl and make sure they are covered, put a lid on to keep some of the fumes down in my office. Type up a couple of emails or whatever I am doing and let about 5 minutes go by.

Pull a chip out rub hotstpamp and MGC Ink lablel off with my thumb and dry, looks like a brand new chip. If I had a sink to put it under running water, I would but I am sitting in my office and chose to do it this way.

Only way you can tell it has been hotstamped is to put a glare on the inlay and you can see the chiptalk impression still there. Other than that it is that simple and easy. Just make sure it is ethyl alcohol or so I have been told.

Thanks for the input. I started with Cotton Swabs and that was WAY to much trouble. After reading BigKyle's thread I switched to cotton balls which was much easier. Now I am going to have to give this a shot.
