Chips: 862 | | | Re: St Jo Casino Chips from ChipRoom Thank you so much for posting this! I had not seen this post until today, and I have over 800 St Jo's on their way to me and I was not having any luck finding non acetone nail polish here in Doha!
This is perhaps a life saving post! Quote: |

Anyway, after I got sick of the Q-tip method, I found what I believe is the best method for removing the foil & black stamp. Note: There are 2 types of rubbing alcohol, Ethanol, and Isopropyl, make sure you use the Ethanol.
I just poured the alcohol into a shallow bowl, and dumped about 15 chips in for 2/3 minutes, swishing the bowl around once or twice during this time. Then, I just picked them out 1 by one, and under running water, rubbed the whole foil/stamp off with my thumb. It literally rinses right off the chip, with no trace left at all. The alcohol turns black, but I just reused it over & over with no problems at all. |

Makes me want to get some. Too bad there are sold out at the chiproom.
How much were they originally selling for?
If anyone is selling 100 primary $100, send me a PM. (I already have 100 secondary St. Jo $100s.)
Thanks. |

Chips: 862 | | | Re: St Jo Casino Chips from ChipRoom Some of the original gold hotstamp will still be removed, even so if you let it dry after you have soaked it in the ethyl alcohol, nothing will come off. You have to wipe it off while it is wet.
Not to mention that the hotstamping machine left a nice mark where it struck the chip.
The $.50 chips are best left alone with the MGC and gold hotstamp in place. That is the way I left my 200+ chips. Quote: |

The side of the chip that did not have the cancellation stamp on it is in mint condition.
The original hot stamp on the cancellation side looks a little worn as seen in the picture, but it looks significantly better than the cancellation stamp. anyways here it is.
Below is a picture of the cancellation side with mark removed.
