Question Why Gold Foil on the chips?

I might be a bit uneducated but does anyone know why Chiproom put gold foil on the Frontier Chip?

For protection. But you said you use a rubber in the 'how to remove hotstamp' thread so it's all good.

Re: Why Gold Foil on the chips?

Protection from what? Isn't the Frontier closed?
I mean, lots of casino chips for sale don't have gold foil on them.

Re: Why Gold Foil on the chips?

The Missouri Gaming Commission made them hotstamp them in order to cancel them. Removing the stamp beats playing with drilled chips.

Ok, thank you! The law is the law or in this case the commission is the law as it appers.
