Care of Desert Sands chips

I just got Desert Sands chips and they look kind of dusty, what is the best way to clean them? I know you oil clay chips, but what about ceramic chips?

DO NOT OIL

Just use em, any dustiness comes off almost immediately.

They are ceramic chips, do not oil....
If the dust brothers you, just wipe off with damp cloth. When they get dirty from use, just wash with mild detergene.

Don't worry, I already knew enough not to oil

I was just wondering if there were other means of cleaning them. Thanks for the suggestions.

I used to just spread mine on the floor and piss on them. Cleans 'em right up.

It is sterile but that doesn't mean it's not acidic.

Ceramic chips are pretty tough. You can clean them up nicely with soap and water, or just about anything short of sandpaper or SOS pads (just kidding!). Scrub all you want if you have some pizza or whatever all over them -- you can use a brush (not metal) or a soapy cloth. No problem with hot water, either. If it won't burn your hands it won't harm the chips.
