Easiest way to remove gold foil?

To whomever suggested the Mr Clean eraser, you are a genius! That thing works awesome. Not only does it clean a chip tremendously, it takes the gold foil right off! All you gotta do is rub a little and off it comes and the vinyl label is safe and nice underneath! Gonna stock up on those things next time I go to Target.

Mr. Clean works. The only thing it takes 5 minutes to do one chip. What's your best time per chip?

Hmmm erasing 700 chips... that could take a while!

How does it look without the foil...has the stamp damaged the inlay at all ?

After cleaning the $100's the inlay seems to be fine. If your cleaning the $.50 chips you might notice the surface of the inlay is changed a little. Here are some pics of the cleaning.

After 50 seconds with Mr. Clean

This is the tough part to clean. To get this it's three more minutes of Mr. Clean

Hmm yours look different to mine... I have the gold foil but it seems to have been stamped over another stamp of the Missouri Gaming commission..

be careful with acetone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will remove color from inlays, and turn clay "gummy".

Anyone have any advice on removing hotstamps that are on vinyl labels? They're a bit harder to erase off.

FYI - The Mr Clean magic erasers are on sale @ Target this week. $2.33/4pack. Three (3) 4-packs for $7 in other words. Got a long nite with my erasers and foil removal.
