Kendoman,
I use Spoon Oil (Mineral oil and Beewax combined) on my Paulsons. Too me, it's better than just mineral oil. It sort of coats the chip and helps slow down wear and color transfer rom chip to chip. Don't get me wrong, mineral oil works fine but there is a difference when using the spoon oil. Others might disagree but I highly reccomend the spoon oil.
You can also get mineral oil at stores like William Sonoma, they sell cooking things, pots, mixers, etc. The oil is used for cutting boards or any wooden object that needs to be keep "moist", as in not dry out.
