Chips: 1,186 | | | Re: The Ultimate Chip Cleaner Several casino cashiers have recommended to me that those little disposable handi-wipes available at many casino cages work quite well to clean chips with. They were right-on as the little wipes do the job pretty well so long as you don't have tons of embedded gunk in the grooves.

At 2200 chips per hour, it should fulfill almost every chiptalk members' cleaning needs. Now if it would only oil them too. | When I was cleaning my Blue $1 Vineyards last year, I got a toothbrush and used Quick n Brite (425-778-8285) sterling magic is the other I've tried. My fingers were numb trying to hold the chips. Now I use that little portable oral B circular motion electric and it's a life saver. The oil I use is Walgreens Minearl Oil, "Lubricant Laxative, Odorless, Tasteless Colorless! Get it in the hemmoroid section! I put just a tiny bit on my finger tip and take a stack of 10 chips, do the edges first and then start all over the other chips all while they are in my hand. Clean with a soft cloth and let them sit overnight. Turn them over and reclean them again. I do not put any chips in contact with each other for a few days at which time I buff them again with a soft cloth. I think over oiling leaves a residue that will attract more dirt not less. |

Chips need to be cleaned first, before the oil hits them. Otherwise the oil mixes with the dirt and makes a sticky mess. |

But I have not oiled any of my new chips at all and do not clean and oil any chips that I intend to sell via ebay etc. That process is up to the buyer. |

Chips: 331 | | | Re: The Ultimate Chip Cleaner I saw somewhere on this site where someone mentioned Mr. Clean Erasers. I tried them last night. They work AWESOME!!! I had 120 casino chips, mostly Paulson TH&C and they got bright white. Never seen anything like it. You just wet the eraser and scrub the chip, simply awesome | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
