I have a sample set of Paulsons that I shuffle while I play online. They have been oiled, but about every week or so, they need a bit of cleaning. I use a nail brush with a very soft natural bristle, and some watered down hand soap (not cream soap). All the finger gunk is gone and are no longer sticky. Do I need to re-oil...or is the initial mineral oil treatment enough for the chips? Just curious because I am in the process of oiling my new set of Paulsons and wonder how soon (if ever) I will be oiling them again. Obviously the large set will see nowhere near the action that the sample set is subjected to...
Thanks.
You really shouldn't have to re-oil them. The oils from your hands will give them the oiled look, so after you play with them awhile they will be fine.
