I was saying the mineral oil made them too greasy feeling, while the baby oil didn't produce that undesirable result...oiling is just for the looks, but they do change the feel a little...a touch plastic-like (not like plastic or injection molded chips). When the chips are brand new, the colors are dull from clay dust on them. The oil makes the chip body colors bright and clear, with a small improvement for the edge spots. You'll be doing a LOT of shuffling or playing to transfer the oils from your skin to achieve the same effect, and it will be years before they all look the same, especially the darker colors like red, purple, green, and especially black, because you won't touch them all the same amount of time during play. Whites, tans, and light greys, the improvement is minor. I'd do one of each color too see the difference for yourself. It takes just a tiny bit spread between your thumb and index finger, like less than half a drop. The difference is dramatic. Hope this helps. (Geez, I'm such a chip nerd)
