How many poker books do you own? Add pics too, pls.

I've collected far too many poker books during the years, too many from amazon, too many 2+2, too many Cardoza, too many Lyle Stuart etc...
Heck, I could have used that money to buy chips....

But, how many poker books do you own? Add pics too...and poker related books may be counted too, say, Art of War and mathematical books, if you have some.

I'll take a pic of my shelf, when I get it sorted out.

Edit: sorry, I put this first to the wrong place, thanks for moving...

Looks like I've got 30 or more. I've even read most of them.

75 on the shelf, and a handful scattered throughout the house.

i'm happy i bought them, and have read them all, but that said books tend to be pretty bad now compared to what's available at the training sites.

16 on the shelf, a few out on loan, a few already gone.

Agree with the 'binks though. A lot of the books these days read pretty badly, and offer a lot less interesting information. I give a big two thumbs down to Rolf Slotboom's PLO book. Hurrr, wait for a big hand and win!

EDIT: There's a few books there not specifically about how to win poker, but are certainly good reads, related to gambling and such. And yes, that's a CT thong.

Re: How many poker books do you own? Add pics too, pls.

I have to show my wife this thread. I ONLY have ten, but one is at work. I've actually had good luck getting books from the library.

Thirty doesn't seem like too many. But 75....??????

Well, I guess I'm kind of a book freak then....here's mine...

how-many-poker-books-do-you-own-add-pics-too-pls-books.jpg

204 poker related books (they should be all here) and about 4 years of CardPlayer. I just hope I do not get same kind of fever to collect poker chips than I have collecting poker books...

Unread maybe 10 books, and really studied about 15 titles.

Re: How many poker books do you own? Add pics too, pls.

Wow that is some collection...I fear you may be in trouble as I have found chips to be much more addicting...lol. I have 9 or 10 books scattered through out the house. Two in by the jaccuzi (sp) one on the night stand, one by my lazy boy, and about 1/2 dozen more in my office. All have been read at least once and most twice or more. One thing I have found I have to be careful about is getting to fixated on a new therory or trying new things after reading about them to the overall detriment of my "normal" way of playing. That normal way of playing has been a winning one for over 4 years now so I just hope that by reading and improving my knowledge of the game I can improve my game. I just have to remember to apply new things a little at a time...lol.

Pug - what would you rate as "must read" books from all of those?

IMO the following (not in particular order):
- Every Hand Revealed (Hansen)
- Harrington on cash games, vol 1 & 2
- Advanced Pot-Limit Omaha (Hwang)
- Pot-Limit Omaha Poker, Big Play Strategy (Hwang)
- Power Hold'em Strategy (Negreanu & others)
- Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide
- Heads-Up No-Limit Holdem (Moshman)
- Sit'n'Go Strategy (Moshman)
- Winning Poker Tournaments (apestyles, rizen, pearljammer)
- Your Worst Poker Enemy & Your Best Poker Friend (Schoonmaker)

Maybe I like the most of Hwang's books and Every Hand Relealed...
