Chips: 25 | | | Best no-limit hold'em cashgame book? I'm a prety experienced .10/.25 (short handed) and .25/.50 (full ring) no-limit hold'em cashgame player and doing good online. I've only read Hold'em poker for advanced players by Sklansky. Even though I'm doing quite alright on the theory behind poker, I feel like I need to eduacate me some more to be comfortable playing higher.
I know you need to read Supersystem, Theory of poker and Harrington on hold'em, but I'm looking for a good book primarily on no-limit hold'em cashgames. I'm considering No Limit Hold'em Theory and Practice by Sklansky and Ed Miller at the moment. Is this the best choice for me right now? Advice needed. | | Sponsored Links | |

This book imo is probably the best for what you are looking for. |

I have read his tourney series, and it really helped my game.
It's a stupid question, as obv there are a lot of differences, but how many similarities does Harrington on cash, share with his tourney series? |

there's some stuff that's...weird. he's not really up on the latest in the game, i'd say. and so there could conceivably be a MUCH stronger book in the next few years. the strength of these volumes is the same as the strength of HOH. well written, well explicated, quite thorough and clear, lots of examples, et cetera.
what it's NOT: cutting edge, extrardinarily sophisticated, et cetera. |

I can't wait to get to read them. They are sitting on my shelf waiting for the worst 2 months of my work to be done. When mid-June gets here, I'll be all over these. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
