Looks like no one else reads two plus two and no one else here has read it yet.

I'm thinking about getting it.

Does it get your endorsement?

Haven't read it, but I heard it was good from a player I respect. He said it was a good how to be a poker player book, rather than a great strat book. It's on my list, but I am po' after all, so may take me awhile to get.

Re: elements of poker: tommy angelo

yeah, i likes it a lot. it really concentrates on trimming the amount of time you're playing your worst, as an alternate to getting better at playing your best.

in that respect, it's similar to "zen of poker" but without all the luck/superstitious stuff that made that book. if you have a hard time keeping emotion in check while playing, or quitting before things fall apart, or maintaining concentration, it's a good book for you.

Re: elements of poker: tommy angelo

I have problems with both these issues. Thanks for the recommendation.

Matt - would you consider posting a list of what you consider the best poker books that you've read? Top 10 or whatever.

Re: elements of poker: tommy angelo

Thanks! I'm off to Amazon to fill in with those I'm missing. Please add the others that maybe aren't quite top 11 material too.
