Chips: 7,134 | | | How many of yinz have pre-orded PNLHE? Also, when will the obligatory chapter-by-chapter CT analysis start that will last 3 chapters and fall apart? |

I keep thinking I should switch to NL cash games, but everytime I give it a go I'm so freaking bored I can't focus at all. I'm not good enough to 8 table the NL games, but even 4 tabling the action is so slow (compared to 4 tables of 6 max limit) that I can barely stand it. |

If you want to play well, you honestly have to treat it like a job. Kinda sad. |

Limit is a waste of time compared to what you could win playing NL. I can't help you with the boredom though. I only play one table at a time. You young 'uns and your attention span . Dam video games.

The players aren't very good, but they're not very bad any more, either. So, it's very rare that a hand goes beyond preflop raise/c-bet unless both players flop a monster. I remember a year or so ago, every other hand was all-in preflop or on the flop.
I also don't have as much time to play poker recently, so I probably get annoyed when there isn't much action in the hour or so I play. |

You young 'uns and your attention span . Dam video games. | the problem is that I would have to start playing 2/4 NL to be close to the same level as I am in limit right now, and from what I understand the regular 2/4 NL players online are pretty good. I don't think I'm good enough to beat those games, and it is hard to go back to .25/.50 NL and put in the time to work my way up.
I guess I feel good about my game because I worked my way up from .25/.5 limit to 3/6 and 5/10, but even when I played all NL all of my experience was at the .10/.25 blind levels.
Maybe if I pick up this book I'll get motivated and give it a go. I just wonder how long it will take to get good enough to beat the 2/4 NL game online. |

I crushed the .05/.10 games, but I was just barely in the black at higher levels. So, my guess is that $2/4 NL online is pretty tough. |

I just wonder how long it will take to get good enough to beat the 2/4 NL game online. | I've made at 25NL (actually, mostly the .30 bb deep stack game) what I would make at 1/2 limit. I would say 3/6 is akin to .5/1NL in terms of what you pull down if you're good. Where you jump in depends on what site you want to play. I'm thinking about skipping $50NL at FT because the games on either side of it are softer. At Absolute, the $50 game is pretty good, but I don't have rakeback there.
I know a guy who plays 2/4 and have sweated him sometimes. Honestly I can say the players aren't quite as good as I expected (straightforward play gets rewarded), but certainly are better than the deep stack game I was playing before checking out $50NL. I think 3/6 limit online now is tougher/as tough as 2/4NL, though I don't watch limit a lot anymore.
