I had this book in my hands at Barnes & Noble today.. (I discovered that I get 30% off for working at GameStop)
I ended up not buying it though. I've been thinking about it since seeing this thread, but am still undecided. I hate affiliating myself with any kind of Hellmuth teachings, despite loving his character.
I read this around Christmas time, and I didnt really enjoy it at all. There was so much egotistical banter that I almost stopped reading about 5 pages in. I would estimate that at least 1/4th of the book is taken up by the author 'selling' the book and pushing just how great it is to be able to see physical tells.
It is however a fascinating field and I actually started reading other books on the subject. They arent directly poker related at all, but I imagine most poker players interested in physical tells will enjoy reading books by Alan Pease. I started reading 'Body Language' by Alan Pease and its given me some amazing insights into how people behave. I find that being aware of a few of these things has helped my perception in all areas of life - not just at the poker table.
