Re: NLHETAP Discussion Dying -- Poll!!

OK -- I had one of those busy, busy weekends (a party each day, including one at my house!). But I have been thinking about this. I see two alternatives.

Would it help to defer this until September? I have lots of time now, less time then, but it seems everyone else is going on vacation and such. We could just let this die for now and start relatively fresh (bumping the old threads first to catch up) in September.

The other alternative is to just keep going but with a weekly schedule, rather than every few days tackling a new chunk. 2+2 discussions do weekly readings, but they also move through a book in about a month. I would hate to take longer than 6 weeks -- it seems to me you need to concentrate on reading the book, so stretching it out for more than that makes you lose focus.

Of course, there is a third alternative: just let the whole thing die. But I am stubborn. And am still wanting some help understanding things. So I'm not fond of this option...

Opinions?

Re: NLHETAP Discussion Dying -- Poll!!

Personally, I'm still waiting for the book as I used my P* FPP to get it.

Even then, I've been following the discussions but have had little input to add.

That being said, i think its a good idea but the timing is probably not the greatest with vacations and such.

Re: NLHETAP Discussion Dying -- Poll!!

Now or September are both fine; it really doesn't matter to me.

I think starting a new section once a week is about right. If it takes a month or so, fine. I think once people fall behind at the beginning there is a feeling of being left behind/left out, so they never really feel like they can jump in later on. Or at least I do, and I'm sure there are others too.

Don't give up yet!
