I am wondering if anybody has read both these books and can tell me how much they differ. Aside from the obvious that one is an updated version are the books very similar or completely different.
They are pretty different in terms of games covered.

Great review Poboy. And I agree that SS2 is a better book. Not that SS1 was bad. It had great content, but was poorly edited. Kind of hard to read, and did not cover nearly as much as SS2.
I just picked up super system for $1 off ebay and I was wondering if I should look for SS2. I probably will after i'm done reading the stack of books I have piled up now.
Thanks for the info. Good review too by the way.
ss1 has lots of great information - but many of the games are outdated
they cover some split games - but the strategies are from before the "8 qualifier" for stud8 and omaha8 of today. SS2 has been updated with more current games and strategies. The NL section is pure gold in either books.
