I'm one of those book fanatics who pre-order stuff like SSHE and HOH directly from Conjelco (2+2's fulfillment/distributor -- don't know what to call it), so I can get it faster than anyone else. (There's also a pre-order discount off the cover price, albeit not an Amazon-sized discount.) So I've been obsessively checking 2+2 to see whether I will get my books before I go on vacation on June 5. And the news is good:

No Limit Hold'em: Theory and Practice (with the evil cover) and HOH3 are in the house!! Here's what Mason Malmuth posted on 2+2 this morning:

"Hi Everyone:

It's 3:00 am on Tuesday, May 23 and I'ver just returned from our printer with a box of No Limit Hold 'em: Theory and Practice in my car. (Yes we do inspections 24 hours a day.) We expect to have books delivered later today.

Alos, Harrington on Hold 'em: Volume III is scheduled to start binding in about six hours. So we hope to have some of them delivered no later than Wednesday morning.

This means we should be getting them out a little ahead of schedule, and our top priority will be those of you who ordered from this site. But we hope to have all initial orders shipped by no later than Monday (May 29). Hence I would expect to see them beginning to show up at the major bookstores by the end of the first week in June.

I here there is another NL ring game book due out in the fall. Is this book about NL ring games ? I cant access the site it is blocked for some reason form my current location.

Actually, there are two books coming out in fall from 2+2: Small Stakes No Limit Hold ’em: Winning Big With Expert Play by Matt Flynn, Sunny Mehta, and Ed Miller and Winning High Stakes and Short Handed Hold ’em; Expert Limit Hold ’em for Serious Cash Game & Internet Players by Ray Zee and Dave Fromm. No exact publication dates yet.

Theory of NLHE promises to be a book like Theory of Poker -- not exactly a practical guide like SSHE or HOH, but more of a general theoretical look at all aspects of No-Limit play. Sklansky and Miller have both posted about the book on 2+2 (the 2+2 magazine has also had some excerpts), and they say it is applicable to both tournaments and ring-games. If you want more information about the book, get to a non-blocked location and look in the "Books" forum at 2+2 and the 2+2 magazine excerpts for more.

If this book is half as good as it is promised, it will be well worth the money. (But then again, I spend lots of money on poker books!)

i was going to preorder the books through 2+2 but shipping to canada is $27, looks like i've got to wait for amazon to get them in stock.
