Since I've heard nothing but praise for pre-USPC KEMS, I had to find out for myself what all the fuss was about. I was able to get my hands on a couple of vintage sealed KEM sets to see for myself. My impression... They're not bad. Very attractive cards and certainly nowhere near as flimsy as USPC KEM cards. What bothers me most is that they still have a terrible predisposition to bow and curl. Other than perhaps the nostalgia and tradition associated with KEM cards, I still cannot grasp why they have such enduring appeal?
