That's a great deal. The best I have seen is an ongoing ebay auction for $29.99 + $16.95 s/h + $1.10 ins. = $48.04.

Anyone know whether the case may be lifted by one handle or turned upside down when full without popping open?

I wouldn't do either of those things with this type of case. They aren't designed for that kind of thing at all. They are for display and carrying maybe from one room to the next, but not for transport, etc. You'll end up with a big mess!
