But I may just be using to much logic here.
6) It also may just be a crazy coincidence but it seems that the places selling the progen 80 chips also sell Nexgen chips, just like the seller from ebay that assured me that he gets them from Nexgen.

Joe did a great Job answering all these questions...but one key point to re-iterate to people....Nexgen IS NOT a company name. Nexgen is a silly name created by Trademark/5Stardeal. This is why I dont like these chips being called Nexgen...they are excellent chips, they dont deserve to be categorized into the plastic chip arena.

95% of "online company's" (99% on EBAY) drop ships all their poker chips...this is why the same places that sell Nexgen will sell ProGen and all the other products you see at 5stardeal.

If this Ebay seller assured you he got them from Nexgen....LOL... good luck with that. All the ebay seller is doing is taking your order, entering into Trademarks Merchant site and waiting for Trademark/5Star to ship your chips.

Regardless of all this nonesense, they are good chips...and Hogwild is offering them at a great price!

Exactly-- they could have been named yinggen,fonggens, or whatever- thats the name someone came up with for them-- same as the Sopranos chips- or the Monaco chips--

( not too fond of Wallson or Great Walls either LOL)
Always like Palm Classics but I am sure there would be grief over that name-

I also appreciate Joe answering those questions but i dont see why we should call these chips something other than what they are named just because you feel it is silly or you dont like it, however they are good chips and yes Hogwild is offering them at a great price which is why I dont think he or I for that matter deserved your comments from earlier. If you dont like them catagorized with what you feel are inferior chips then you should take that up with the ones who are giving them the name to begin with. Dont fault others for using the name the product has been given.

I would suggest that anyone considering the Progen chips get samples first. It may just be me but I swear the feel more like plastic than the PI chips do. They also did not seem to soak up oil as well as my PI samples did.

I have both and I don't know if I could tell them apart with my eyes closed. I'll pay more attention tonight when I get home but at this point any feel difference is negligible.

dang, those chips are nice, I may actually consider purchasing those. I may be confused with something else, but are those chips have the nickname "Wallsons?" I hear they are pretty darn close to the feel and sound of Paulson's!!
