I have done runs on 2mil Cast vinyl, VERY thin and difficult to handle as you apply.. But If you want thin, Then this is they type to use. I will be going with standard 3.5 mil when I get going.. It's just easier to handle these labels.....
60# Paper is usually 5-6 mil thickness.
Hog we just finished doing some tests on an amazing vinyl- it's 4mil- prints well and from what we see eliminates the lamination AND is easier to apply then the 2 mil.I agree- 2 mil is nearly impossible to put on easily-
It is ONLY available in 24 inch rolls and we have to order a lot fo rthis manufacturer to make it for us- if you want I can send you a sample of it to try.
While we have no intent to change from our current polycarbonate lamination I think this may be a good alternative for those who cant have the added thickness in both vinyl and lamination

As always Joe you are a class act. I have been using the 4mil now for a while as it has been a easier transition to use for application. It is out standard screen print size as well. So with a just a added "Gloss" to the label it makes the print brighter and more attractive.

Thanks for the offer though!
This stuff is made by Coburn Vinyl in NJ- awesome stuff as its not your normal vinyl - more of a hard pvc but it prints well and is very rigid for its thickness.
Glad ya made the transition.
We still prefer the poly lam LOL- but getting more and more people not wanting the images so thick-
Im also wondering if its possible to take roll vinyl- cut it to 8.5 x 11 sheets after its been run through the cutter, then run it through an inkjet printer- wonder if ya ever tried this..
