Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

I think the original versions should have been included in this poll. But I will not buy enough sets to influence anything one way or the other.

I would like to hear what people who are buying large numbers of these cards have to say.

Sorry again ...

i think i can voche (spelling) for gary on this...
as neither i nor him care much for the fat ace of spades that is winning/has won that poll... he has put out there what the people has wanted for this design.
if joe thinks we should re-run the polls he'll say so...
id like to see two polls one for bridge & one for poker, just to maybe get more colors made to choose from.
i know however i wont get any of my top choices picked either way...
but the polls have ran... and there is no need for me to whine and complain.
i'll just order of the ones i like and be content with them.
gary has done some amazing design work on every aspect of these cards and chips. gary, thank you so much for your time and hard work.

ps i do really like that purple w/gold border, but i doubt i wouldve voted for it and the dark purple back.

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

Gary..great work.
I'm only buying about 25 decks so for 'weight' sake, not important what I think.

I too also really liked the gold bordered first draft.

I do think the light blue will turn out amazing! I think the light red will be good too.

I'm personally not crazy at all about the silver decks. To me they have a monochrome feel to them and it seems like when they print they could seem more like black and white cards. Just not much pop. But...I'm a good follower in this group. I always defer these type questions to my graphic designer anyway.

Gary...seriously great work. You've created an amazing feel for the cards, whatever colors end up happening.

I can't wait to get them in. Just hate having to wait.

I'm probably gonna order 1000 custom made decks based on review/feel of cards.

I'll follow and purchase whatever our options are.

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

@SatansEnemy, I agree with both you and Gary about the fat ace. However, it might not be a fat ace versus skinny ace vote. It might be a plain ace versus an ornamented ace vote and the fat ace is just along for the ride.

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

Gary,

I'm only writing this post to tell you to STOP APOLOGIZING!! You're work is magnificent, you've created the nicest looking set of cards that has ever (will ever) grace a poker table, and we are all extremely greatful for the amount of effort you have put into this project (with computer problems no less!). I don't care if the poll had two color options, and the only card size was 8 1/2" x 11"... they'd still be incredible.

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for your efforts...

Soxfan

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

I would sooner go with the ones originally posted (Private Card Room)

I would like to get the Bridge size orders as one group for they will probably be the highest quantity / order people - to get the 1000 level I have about 500 confirmed with me and one other and if we can get 2 others for 250 each for the most simple and least costly.

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

While I don't generally want moree polls ...
** There REALLY should be 2 sepeate polls like this, for colors ....
One for bridge , & one for Poker Size... since Joe said 250 per color & it's going to be a 1K + 1K order ....

Heck, if there are a couple of people buying 250 or more decks each, they essentially can & should be able to Pick their color, since their choice doesn't effect another person if all of that color run goes straight to them ....

You vote in the one you are most likley to buy ....
It's a win-win, & we would probably end up with a few extra Back color choices for those that would buy either ......

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

But you could say that for anything. I could get enough people to want standard index. Or hybrid poker peeks.

What is the deciding factor?

Re: Custom Printed Plastic cards - Poll 6 - Color of Backs

Ok...give me 250 Green (original roman design) bridge - small ace - small face - no peek - no hybrid - my 2nd choice in the Red (original Roman Design) - if someone wants to split with me I will go 1/2 red and 1/2 green for a total order of 250 decks - price must be very close to 2.00 since I want the whole batch

I don't need any plastic cases - just sealed units - no jokers needed
