(You might "up" the contrast or darken the denom on the 1 chip just a hair though. It's fine for me of course, but you know how old folks love to play poker ) | Yeah I already fixed it I just didn't re-do the .jpeg upload yet cuz I'm lazy
EDIT: K, that's better

After all, if Joe's objective is to maximize sales (both in this GB and subsequently) then the diverging opinions that we're identifying are something that he'll want to consider in the interests of pleaseing the maximum number of buyers.
Could Joe give an answer on this before we commence the final selection process (i.e. after the final designer is confirmed but before the colors and denoms are finalized)? | My 2 cents (fractional-lol) -
as a designer, I would be willing to submit multiple denoms per color. If we had all the desirable denoms .05 - 25K + NCV, it would be around 16 options per color (.05, .10, .25, .50, 1, 5, 10, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10.000, 25,000, NCV)
In my case, it would be pretty much a cut and paste albeit a time consuming, PITA cut and paste. But I'd be up for it.
Obviously, I don't even know if this is something that would suit Joe's interests. It may also drastically confuse orders, but I'm just putting it out there.

If you'd personally like customizations being made on the chosen design per chip color he will run them in his shop but you will not get the GB price of .30/chip.

Chips: 36 | | | Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI I still believe that having at least a .25 chip will be key to selling the amount of chips needed for the GB price. Also having the NCV may help for those looking for the higher or lower denoms.
Still not in favor of the 10 chip, because I would not have many for a cash set and probably wouln't use one as part of a tourny set.
How about a 2500 instead of 1000?
And possibly 10,000 instead of 5,000?
Denoms I would like: .25, 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 25000, NCV
Or: .25, 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 2500, 10000, 25000, NCV
Gotta say GREAT work to the designers!!!
Thanks Joe for setting this up
and thanks Dice for looking out for the GB!! |

and thanks Dice for looking out for the GB!! | I only can concur with this. But like I said in one of the other threads, why not inlcude the 10 chip, and then when the chocolate becomes available, we can order it as the 25,000. We will have to pay a little more, but for a few chips, no big deal

These look great! | I agree! I really like this combination of both denominations and colors (my 0.02) It looks like there is still plenty of interest in the .25 / 25c / 0.25 / Quarter chip. There will also be the Chocolate Chip available eventually and Joe will retain the rights to the winning design so there will be some flexibilty available down the road. There is a Strong and Clear consensus on the following values. 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, NCV. This leaves two holes to fill. I am going to put up a poll for the last two values. It will be pick two 0.25, 10, 2500, 10000, 25000, 2nd NCV. I think that covers everything discussed and this should help us narrow things down. We all have idea of our "perfect" set, but please also try to consider;
a. What will sell the most chips for this Group Buy.
b. That the Chocolate Chip will be available for an Add-On in the future. I will post the link to the poll in the OP of this thread as soon as I get it up. http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...tion-poll.html This will run for 4 days. Shane ps I will be voting in this poll.

Chips: 132 | | | Label Color Matching This is an interesting thread on difficulties in color matching. Note that the Progen 80s have, I think, the same colors as Joe's chips: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...red-set-2.html
Since some of the designs rely on the color match, this could be an issue and maybe somthething we want to consider when selecting the final design?!? Joe - how confident are you that the Chinese label printer will be able to match the chip base colors? |

Chips: 44 | | | Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI You bring up an interesting point TX_kiwi.
Some of this is a matter of interpretation as well. The examples you posted it that thread of the two sets with good matches only have a match on about 1/2 of the chips in each set. So yes, this could be very difficult. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
