Could Joe give an answer on this before we commence the final selection process (i.e. after the final designer is confirmed but before the colors and denoms are finalized)?
I need to check with the factory on this- we ( the owners of PI) were also considering a spin on this whole thing- have the factory do the winning set-
PI could produce the runner up- and maybe even the submissions here- while we couldnt begin to match the factories gracious price for this GB- we COULD come in slightly higher in price BUT offer the contestants chip designs in actual printed chips for around 40 cents each-- and possibly offer each design contestant a set of 300 or 500 chips AT the factory price of .30 for all their hard work--- were just bouncing some ideas around since we ALL feel honored as to the response for this GB in addition to all the hard work being done- we'll come up with something--
in the meantime- lemme see how flexible the factory will be on this-

Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI

I have to say that without fractionals (plural) or at least a 25¢ and NCV then I am going to have to drop from the interested list.

We is po down heaah. Our game is currently using 5¢ and 25¢ chips and biggest chip on the table is $1. (except for the rebuy chip).

We almost never play tourneys (maybe twice a year).

Just my position.

Thanks again for all the great design work. The idea that multiple designs coming from this project is kind of exciting.

If the solid colours were allowed it would make this a lot easier!

Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI

This really sounds very promising. Excellent job designers! I would most probably join with >=500.

I would also prefer a 10 instead of the 10,000.

I don't pretend to know anything about Joe's business. But I get the feeling a large production would have to be on set denoms. Perhaps for those of us with special needs, we could get in cheaply and just do add on's through Joe later using the same design but with the chip colors/denoms we want applied to blanks. For now, I don't see the need for more than one NCV chip. I say use all the colors available and put denoms on them (except for maybe ONE NCV chip) and make the denoms as universal as possible for cash games OR tourneys.

Here's my shot at a fractional and a 10.

Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI

You put in the 10 ! (And it sure looks good)

I love you!

And on finishing second...it ain't over 'till its over.

(You might "up" the contrast or darken the denom on the 1 chip just a hair though. It's fine for me of course, but you know how old folks love to play poker )
