Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI

I thought I would experiment with the camera a little this weekend while passing the time waiting for the chips to arrive. I snapped these pics of the later prototypes Joe sent me so I could do some color correction. I was pretty pleased with how they turned out so I thought I would share them with ya'.

You can see they are dirty, a testament to how much I can't keep my hands off of them. They are ALWAYS being shuffled!

Love those shots! The worn Bicycle cards are awesome.

Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI

ah i agree about those bicycle cards.
btw thanks for those pics...
i wasn't so sure about the 1000 chip, i dont care for the red in it,
but its not as bad as i had thought it was going to be.
i can't wait to get these in.
any pics of the 5000? btw in joe's pics looks like the brown chip ended up with
a grey spot instead of white... is that the case?
i thought the white/tan would look great in it. oh well.

Yeah those "Vintage" Bicycles are some of my favorites! Amongst the numerous decks of cards that I have, most that people are unwilling to play with, these have actually seen an evening of action! I thought that they would go well with the more vintage look of the chips, so I thought I would give them a shot.

I didn't gt any pics of the 5000 (now sure why ... just didn't get to it) but I can try to get some taken here soon.

The chips are overall VERY nice. As I mentioned these are the chips with inlays printed by Joe ... so I haven't seen the actual Chinese printed product yet, but I can say ... that Joe does an AMAZING job with the inlays!! I love these. The 1000, 100 and 500 are probably my favorites. As far as the chocolate chip goes,
because they came so late in the process I was unable to see one in person so I do not know what they, or the inlay in them, will look like. Although I see what you mean about the gray spots. I HOPE that that is just an affect of the lighting.

I am VERY excited to see how these turned out. I know at the end of the day, even if these Chinese versions are "so so", I would NOT HESITATE to get a set of these with Joe's printing and inlays on them! I have a a hard time putting these down every time I pick them up. Just AWESOME! And being able to customize the denominations and even the name on it ... how much better can you get for the price!? ... Not much!!
