30¢ Compression Clay from PI - Design Contest Round 2

Greetings and welcome to Round 2 (The Final Four). For the history of this project you can look back on the original threads;
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/palmim...ion-chips.html
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/palmim...round-one.html

The short version is Joe at Palm Imports will let us steal his Compression Clay Great Wall chips (also known as Wallsons) for just 30¢ each! The only catch is that we have to steal 50,000 of them. To help make this project a success, Joe is also sponsoring a design contest to come up with a label that will appeal to enough people to make this happen.

Round 1 got us some great designs that you can see below. We will continue thru three more rounds in a 4 – 2 – WIN series of eliminations.

UPDATE (5/16): Joe has just announced that the Pink, Yellow, and Grey will be included in this Group Buy! So start filling in those chips Designers!
It is still unclear if the new Compression Clay colors (Pink, Yellow, Grey, and Chocolate) will be included in this offer. To accommodate this variable; Denomination Values, Denomination Colors, and Final Text will not be decided until either Round 4 or a Final Design Phase after the winning design is selected (this will be determined by Joe’s schedule).

Voting for this round will be a multiple choice poll. Please try to limit yourself to four picks (I know this will be hard). The final two rounds will be one vote only so the decisions will become more difficult. Voting for this round will end on May 20 and since we will be discussing and modifying as we go you may want to wait until you are certain to vote.

If your ChipTalk join date is May 2008 your vote will note be counted (exceptions will be made for conwayjohn71, Felt Lizard, and bfd_64 who have already contributed to this project discussion). If you are a new member to ChipTalk and would like to vote in the future polls, contribute to this thread.

UPDATE (5/17): Disscussion of Denominaiton breakdowns has begun on this thread http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/palmim...n-clay-pi.html please begin to focusyour discussion here so we have one central point of focus for all involved.
UPDATE (5/20): There seems to be a consensu for 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, NCV (this is eight of the ten chips). To help determine the final two I have starte a poll http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...tion-poll.html . This will run for 4 days.
If it is necessary to run supplemental polls to resolve some of the final detail issues we will. If you have suggestions, comments, or compliments for the great work these designers have done; please use this thread to let them know.

Joe has once again gone out of his way to take care of the members of ChipTalk. This is a great opportunity, but at the same time it will be a business risk for him (50,000 chips worth). He has not requested this, but I will reserve for him the privilege to overrule any decision. There will be NO Sanjaya in this contest!

Thank you,
Shane

Designs are listed in alphabetical order.

Just a suggestion, but a recap of all the entries would make the voting easier

Feen666's link doesn't work, it just links to extraholes' entry.

Designers Can Vote Too

I noticed that only Max has voted so far. I'm sure everyone agrees that the designers have as much right to vote in this as the rest of us.

Designers - get out and vote!

Hi Stu,

I appreciate your enthusiasm for this project. If everyone was as excited about this as you and I, we would be looking at 100,000 chips and not trying to get to 50,000. >grin<

The poll is open for five days, I will continue to update the most current version of each design whenever a link is sent to me. I am sure that most will wait to see how things progress. I really regret that I eliminated myself form the voting, that is probably the biggest mistake I have made so far.

Thank you for the support,
Shane
