My preference for denoms are
0.25 Blue
1.00 White
5.00 Red
25 Green
100 black
500 purple
1000 yellow
5000 pink
25000 gray
100,000 orange
Grayon's design, would it have two different labels on each chip?
You guys are doing some great designs. I'd probably be in for 1000 chips. I just joined the forums and am late to the party...
I belong to a home poker group with 700 members and we currently have 2500 nexgens and 2000 dice chips but I'll really like to have a nicer set such as you are designing now.
Thanks all for your hard work and creativity. |

Welcome aboard.
The denom values have been decided via a vote: .25, 1, 5, 10, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000
Colors have not yet been finalized. It will be discussed among us.
Look at the FINAL POLL link that I put in my previous post. That's were the discussion has moved to.
Two labels yes, a numerical denom on one side and the same denom spelled out on the other probably, both with the same surrounding/background design.
Click on that link to cast your vote for the name of chip. Color discussion will follow. Once the design is set, it will take about 20 days to make the chips, and approx. another month to reach the US. Add on another 1-2 weeks for packaging and shipping to your door.
And the price? 30c per chip. And that price is so right.... |

Shane | I didnt respond because I thouht it was already clear that there will be a poll on the denom colors.
Well I think as garyons mockups are the standard colors there will be no better consensus to please everyone.
My problem is, that i need 5, 25, 100 and probably one NCV. And the colors on these chips are not really ....but more like .
I'd love to see the blue or white in my set.....
Maybe I should think about buying my colors and then relabel them |

Chips: 0 | | | Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI - Design Contest Round 2 Revised: My preference for denoms are
0.25 Blue
1.00 White
5.00 Red
25 Green
100 black
500 purple
1000 yellow
5000 pink
Non-Denom - gray
Non-Denom - orange
The 25-5000 denoms in my above list are pretty standard casino colors. I like the three custom colors, yellow, pink and gray to be used as high value chips for extra security. However, just the fact they will be labeled should probably be enough security. We have two or three different sets of high value chips 1000, 5000, 25000 that we rotate so that anyone pocketing tourney chips from a previous tourney might not be able to use them at the next tourney.
I prefer the red, blue and whites be in the lower denoms as those are the most common colors and we only use them in our cash games. Since we have about 1500 red/white/blue chips from the 2 Nexgen 1000 chip sets I bought awhile back. We do not use those colors in our tournament play.
Our starting stacks vary tremendously... From 1500 to 90k. Our most common start stacks are in the range of 3000-5000 chips. We used 90k a couple times to simulate Day 2 of a $1500 buy in WSOP event with 1 hr levels and the exact WSOP structure of day two. They were grueling events, but excellent practice for the dozen or more of our members playing in this years WSOP events. We have several players in our group who have cashed in WSOP, one in the Poker Hall of Fame with multi bracelets. At least two have played at the final table of the ME. And we have a few poker columnists/book authors in our group as well. We have a tough crowd. Oops, sorry to get off topic.
Anyway, love the Progens, can't wait to see the GB get off the ground. |
