I would like to suggest that we could use the time of Round 2 to try and decide on denominations. I will use supplemental polls as needed and they will all be linked to from the Initial Post.
I don't know if the chocolate will be available, but I'd like to see the following denoms designed into the sets:

25¢
50¢
$1
$5
$10
$25
$100
$500
$1000
$5000

That accounts for all 10 colors. The chocolate could be worked in later and a 5¢ or 25,000 chip could be added. I know some will argue the usefulness of a 50¢ or a $10 chip, this is just MY view of the set. I find using those denoms enables me to buy LESS total chips - I don't have to load up on $5 or 25¢ chips, it saves money on the purchase. Since PI will own the design rights I suppose that if I can't get my perfect breakdown, I could order add on's using the design and just get a denom change?

It's much easier than you think. If the image is already found on the web somewhere, right click on the image, select COPY. Start a new post on chiptalk and hit CTRL-V.

Voila! No need for anyone to send you links.

My apologies Feen, when I sent out the PM requesting links to the latest design versions I said that I would use the last design posted unless multiple entries where requested.

I knew there was an easier way to post the images, I just didn't know what it was. Many Thanks to cdnmoose!

I liked your 'Suits' design, but there hadn't been any changes posted in awhile and I recieved no request to have both designs considered so i thought that you only wanted to continue with the 'Siesta' design.

I intended no disrespect to you or your designs. Hopefully this will be the only error that I commit in this process.

Shane

Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI - Design Contest Round 2

There really are some great designs going. Now that I have figured out (thanks to cdnmoose) the shortcut to post images, I will update the designs whenever a revision is posted.

To help organize this project I would like everyone to use the 30¢ Compression Clay from PI thread located here;

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/palmim...n-clay-pi.html

I will keep that thread updated with links to any and all polls and it will always contain the latest revision of each design. You are welcome to compliment and applaud the designers in the poll thread but please start to use the 30¢ Compression Clay from PI for design suggestions.

Designers: If you post your revisions I will see that they are updated on the 30¢ Compression Clay from PI thread and on the Poll thread.

Everyone: Please start using the 30¢ Compression Clay from PI thread for design suggestions and to begin discussions on preferred denominations.

If we need to start polling for decisions on denominations, I will link to all the polls in the 30¢ Compression Clay from PI thread.

I have received a great deal of help and guidance and only made one mistake so far (apologies again to Feen666).

Thank you for all your support.

Shane

Some of use want to use these chips for low stakes cash games too, and not just tourneys. Personally, I'd love to see a blue 10¢, then 25¢ & 50¢ - perfect for my "High Rollers" game!

Edit: oops, didn't mean
"¢" specifically. Decimal is obviously preferred for universal use. Also, for fractional values I've seen stylized decimal points used (no leading zero) that emphasize the value.

I have gotten in the habit of just doing 1, 5, 25, 100, etc ... without any dollars or cents or decimals.

The denominations can be either Cents of Dollars. You will seldom need a 5c chip and a $5 chip in the same game so a simple "5" chip can be both. By not adding decimals or "$" you get the added bonus of being able to use it for any currency as well, USD, Euros, etc ...
