Thanks,
"TWO-FIFTY" is the better term! "TWO AND ONE HALF" sounds a bit "forced" (dont know if this is the right word) imho.

For your information: In german we also say "two-fifty" (equal words in german language i mean)

NOTE: I wanted to attribute credit where it belongs. I really like this new way of presenting the chips with the shadow and reflection. I saw it on the site ... Inasecrets.com Poker Chips - Shop, individuelle Pokerchips, Dealerbuttons und Poker Equipment ... looked awesome so I thought I would try it myself.

EDIT : Wasn't sure which color to make the 10,000 ... Yellow or pink ... ???
Well, I don't know if I'm the only one who loves 25c chips (pink or yellow) but I was hoping your set might include a 25 center for us that play cash games. Not everyone plays tournaments. I'd be happy to order these with a denominated 25 center for my cash games. By the way, I like snappers too.

The idea behind NOT putting dollar signs or decimals is that if you wanted to play a cash game ... even a MICRO cash game, these denominations should work fine.

each chip would count as follows

Blue 1 = 1c
Red 5 = 5c
Green 25 = 25c <-- There's your .25c chip
Black 100 = $1.00
Purple 500 = $5.00

etc, etc ...

That being said, I don't have any problem with throwing down some fractional chips. I suspect that a poll or two will be conducted to get us down to our final set of denominations somewhere down the road.

10 ... or 10000? ... running out of colors to cover all the denominations. Based on what I've been reading there seems to be a fair number of folks who like the 10, 10000, .25 and NCV chips, and maybe even a fan or two of the 2500. The set so, far only includes 10 different colors (only! LOL). Which will leave 2-3 denoms orphaned ...

We just need more colors! JOOOOOOOEEEE!!!! LOL

Dearest Garyon,

I'm not going to lie, the two fifty is good. Real good.
That little two fifty...sure, it's novel. But it presents that unseemly reverse side phrasing dilemma.

Consider the 10.
My....don't you think it'd look simply marvelous in pink...
....so elegant, succinct, and impressively concise. And on the reverse side, it would bear that glorious "Ten."

Huh? Huh?
Yeah!
You're going for it!
You love it!
You didn't realize it before now, but you've come to realize that you totally agree with me!
SAY IT!

I wonder if we might be able to get 2 denominations on one color, for instance a 2.50 and a 2500 on one color. I don't think anyone would be buying both...

Just an idea...

What about those of us who alrerady have a tournament set of similar chips (custom PI's or maybe Ismuths or Pharaohs), and are looking for a cash set. I'd prefer to have a different color for the .25, in case I have both games running at the same time. Or maybe I should wait for the new colors in the solids.

Anyone know if you can hotstamp the blanks of these chips?

Re: 30¢ Compression Clay from PI - Design Contest Round 2

Round 2 is complete!

Thank you to all the designers for their fantastic contributions!

The winners of this round are;

bmwguy525
Garyon
Feen666
Turner Profit

Voting for Round 3 will continue for 5 days (thru May 26)http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...round-3-a.html

There seems to be a consensus for 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, NCV (this is eight of the ten chips). To help determine the final two I have started a poll http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...tion-poll.html . This will run for 4 days.

This thread will be closed, but further discussion will continue on the Group Buy thread;
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/palmim...n-clay-pi.html

Thanks again to all the designers, this was a difficult decision for most.
Shane
