Here's an idea. Didn't have time to do all denoms.

Re: Custom Clay Compression Artwork- Round One

Hello all,

I am seeing some great ideas already.

Since i still can't draw a circle in Illustrator, I will just outline my idea...

I know the competition is for a label and not a hot stamp, but to steal from Tastic and his 'Chen' hot stamp;
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/730800-post17.html

Maybe a Faux hotstamp (solid background, and gold or silver characters) with the characters 长城 ( Chinese Characters for Great Wall )
for the Great Wall and a denom.

Just a thought - For maximum mass appeal, the designs should probably include the following 8 denoms as the core design:

0.25
1
5
25
100
500
1000
5000

This gives options for cash and tourney sets...
Kiwi, I like your idea on denoms with no symbol. I would suggest that we trade 25c for a non-denom (no value) on the original seven. I would like to see 25c and maybe 10c or 5c on the soids or new colors if they ever become available.

That is my 2c (or 10c >grin<)
Shane

Southpark:

If those of you who like fantasy casinos, this idea might be something for you. The character images are all taken from the Wikipedia, and we could simply claim fair use, just as the Southpark creators did when they copied all the cartoon characters for their Imaginationland episodes. Or we could just ask them, I doubt they would even think about stopping us. I could even imagine they would just join in the GB.

It might need something more, but I think that it is a good start.
These don't look too bad. The white inlay seems too bold and detracts from the overall design.

No name ... just denominations. Generic and simple.

I've always been a big fan of your designs. I think the lion is on the small side and I prefer the denom be numerical.

Here's another variation. Again, lots of fleshing out to do ... but represents a direction. I still like the idea of "Private Cardroom".

Mr Cashflow : I always appreciate your comments. I often use the words "ONE" and "FIVE" instead of the numerals to fill the space and provide a little more aesthetic. Not an excuse ... just an explanation, in case you were curious. I will try a version with the numerals as well, however to see how it looks.

Re: Custom Clay Compression Artwork- Round One

I hope that this isn't a crass or rude question, but a couple have people have made overtures ...

Is this a competition with like... prizes?

I can't afford to join in this group buy right now and was just throwing in some design ideas for fun ... but if the selected design could get a set of these chips or something ... well then ...

I feel like such a heel for asking ...

Re: Custom Clay Compression Artwork- Round One

It was stated earlier that the designer of the chosen inlay would get 400 chips.
