One thing that both your design and Gary's design is relying on now is that the printer can match the colour of the chips. However, I see no reason that they shouldn't be able to. Just a comment. |

Chips: 42 | | | Re: Custom Clay Compression Artwork- Round One I believe that the printers are all new and a new setup. I THINK..I do recall reading something about this in the general intrest thread that got this whole thing going.
Man these designs are great. I think that a more general chips design is better, as Joe has to sell 50,000 of these to a very broad range of people.
Now, the private cardroom thing might not work at all. I mean, why not place in the placeholder the denom in written form maybe instead. I think it is going to be to hard to come to a concensus on the "name" of the fictional cardroom/casino.
But, we could put on there in the placeholder...
JOE IS THE GOD OF DEALS
I mean, .30 for a clay? LOL |

Just one question. Why did you go with beige as the background colour on the 5000 chip instead of white? Did the white look too washed out? |

I am not well versed at running projects such as this and do count on membership experience to keep things going smoothly. As of tomorrow I would like to close NEW submissions and vote on the ones we have-- Dice has our blessing to do a poll and narrow the field so to speak-please help him with this. I have 2 weeks of hell coming up with orders, work, etc so my time on here is as it is now- 6am- before I get involved with work.
Thanks folks

Does anyone else find that the different chip images that we have been using to do the mock-ups, vary in color? will the winner get an opportunity to do adjust their color matching to the real chip colors? | I like this new look. I would like to see the denom stick out a little more, especially on the 25 & 500 chip shown. |

Thanks folks | First I want to thank Joe for the opportunity to get a great chip at a really great price! I also want to say thank you for the opportunity to play a role in this project since my design skills are poor at best. Round 2 (the final four) will begin tomorrow Friday May 16 and run for five (5) days. For this round voting will be open to all ChipTalk members. This will be a public vote and anyone who has been a member for less than one month and has not posted in this or the interest forum may have their vote canceled. Voting on the final two rounds may be further restricted but I would prefer to involve as much of the community as possible. 50,000 is a lot of chips to sell and the better the design we develop, the more likely it will be to meet that goal. To try to keep things impartial; I will not be voting and I will not submit my design (no great loss there >grin<). Designers: Please PM me a link to your design(s) for submission. Have the word DESIGN in the topic. Others: Please feel free to PM with guidance on rules or structure of the voting rounds. Have the word RULES in the topic. Please continue to use this thread until it closes and the Pole threads thereafter to suggest anything else to help keep my mailbox clear. Denominations / Colors / Final Text will not be determined until the last round or the Final Design phase afterwords (depending on time allowed). I would encourage continued suggestions and support for the designers throughout the voting process. My thought is that the more time we use to discuss details the better our final design will be. Joe has given us a terrific opportunity but he does have a business to run and I will reserve to right for him to overrule any decision. Thank you Designer, Buyers, and everyone else. Let's have some fun! Shane |
