I think I'd enlarge "casino" a bit as well. I still don't feel like the denoms are right yet. Everything looks classy except for the denoms. Quote:

About the denoms...I know I can't figure out what the right play is there

It will either appear very elegant ... or completely lost in all that space ... worth a shot though
EDIT: Maybe with a small ornament of some kind on either side?

The number in the shield is a little close to the top, especially now with the additional scroll work there. Also the scroll work has a kind of doile look to it. Not sure if that's what you are going for or not. Also, maybe try some very light drop shadows on the number and/or the shield. Just to see how it looks.
Something is off ... inconsistent ... the scroll-work and the font around the edge, perhaps because they are from different styles, is creating some discontinuity. What is the overall 'feel' you are going for? When you look at it what are your first impressions?
I hope you take these observations as constructive. I think the additional gradient and the new font around the edge are great steps. This may not be the right font yet, but you are definitely headed in the right direction. Design, for me anyway, is a very iterative process (Many many steps). I usually run into about 7-14 versions before I settle into something.
This excellent progress!! Looking forward to seeing more! | Thanks so much, wish I could work on it now, but will go at it tonight. |

It seems more subtle than that previous gold, but I still don't think it's what this needs.

EDIT: Also, what do you think about the design in the background? What would you think about making it a spade shape? |

I hope it's not too presumptuous to have done this but here was my thought for your denominations. Something smaller and not so ... I dunno ... I think that the problem is that the Casino name is very classy, but the denomination font is sorta cartoony, resulting in an inconsistent feel. I'm not suggesting THIS font or THESE ornaments necessarily (these are all I had at the office) but perhaps something in this direction. Maybe I missed your intent?

I like the change to the background color matching. What would it look like with the gradient reversed ( i.e. chip base color fading as you go in towards the graphic) and eliminating the white outer ring? |
