I think that the color choices needs to reflect the colors that are available at the moment. As I understand it, Joe is making no commitments to a date for the gray, pink and yellow chips to be available. He has merely said that when they are available, we will be able to tack on to the group buy price with subsequent orders. Therefore, I feel that the current colors should be used for mainstream denoms since participants in this GB will not want a partial set until the other colors become available. I think that Feen nailed the colors for denoms well. I'd hate to see your design suffer during the selection process (whatever that might be) because of this factor. ( my own vested interest is at play here, I also really like the flouro orange chip and want to see it as either the 1000 or 5000 so that I will have it in play in my tourneys ).
Joe, can you clarify? If the three new colors will be available in time for this GB order then there is more design freedom.
What do other GB participants think? Feel free to endorse or refute this observation. | GREAT point ... that hadn't occurred to me. I will address this in a future modification. There were 3 posts in the time it took me to write that last one, so it may appear that I am behind (I probably am!) LOL ...
Thanks for the heads up!

I love the design, am not crazy of the backets, maybe a little thiner would be better, they look in the way on the 10,000 chip. |

My only suggestion would be to fade the background image a little bit more...I think it might make the denom stand out a little more...
Also, would people mind doing a generic inlay of theirs that would work for the solid chip if it became available? As an example...for garyons chips, maybe making the denoms all white since there will be no edge spot colors on the solids to match the denoms to...Also for Feen's, maybe using his original version where the suits in the background did not match the edge spots...Just a thought
There are some great ideas so far! |

Here my submissions for Joe and you...
I did mine with a maya/aztec/inca idea:
Some things can be modified, on the helmet or anything else (like the position of denoms), so this is the first try. What do you think about it ? |

I got thru the first 4 denoms and thought that I may need more of the base color in the label design. So now I have 2 sets and I am thoroughly confused.
I need help to narrow it down.

Chips: 0 | | | Re: Custom Clay Compression Artwork- Round One I think Garyon has a great design going. I agree that the Private card room is a little too generic. While I don't have a good suggestion, I'm sure someone else will.
Me other observations are that the ( ) take away from the denomination. I think it would stand out more if you removed them.
I would also suggest that that the The NCV and 1000 labels be swapped as well as the 1 and 10,000. I normally prefer that the 1 chip in my sets be white. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
