I think the key here is that, since there's so much color in the chips themselves with the huge double edgespots on these chips, there needs to be a color match on the inlay to some extent to help differentiate the chips when in play on table.

Here's a simple generic four-suit, gold text inlay, but with a light color matched inlay.



With a pure white inlay it gets so hard to distinguish the different Wallsons just because there's so much color per chip base.

I like these chips a lot. However, I am not a fan of matching the demonination colour to the chip colour or in this case the edge spot colour. I prefer to use the same colour for all of the denominations. Find a combination that give the best contrast and the most readability. But that is just what I like. You did a great job matching the text of these chips!
