Good point, well made. However, I wasn't suggesting limiting who could submit a design, just participation in the subsequent voting to select from the entries. Perhaps limit voting to people that either:
  • Intend to buy (could be wider than those that register interst here), or
  • Have submitted a design?
I dunno, what do potential GB participants feel about restricting people who have no intent to buy the chips from voting in the design?

It is also a complication in that some people will, understandably, want to see the final design before comitting....

$.30 each? Sign my ass up. I couldn't justify the zombie ceramics to my wife, but these I might be able to swing.

I see your point here...I know I would not want people with no interest in buying having a say in what my inlay is going to look like...

Not sure how to best regulate this though...I definitely agree with Joe that we want any and all designers to be able to create based on what the GBers want...

I hope this gets started soon, I really need a set of solid inlayed chips!!!

Re: FACTORY Sanctioned Group Buy- Great Wall Compression chips

Ok Poll results look good enough for this to happen-
Monday we will close this thread and open up an artwork design thread- this is gonna be the tricky part- we will need ONE design EVERYONE will want-- this MAY be the obstacle that cant be overcome----
I am TRYING to see if we can do a combination BLANK chip GB AND printed chip GB-- but it may be tricky to do this- I'll know monday when the Chinese holiday is over.

In the meantime- watch for an artwork thread next week.

It would be REAL cool to have a CT themed chip- maybe a Chiptalk casino chip- I dunno- you all decide
