Thanks! | Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but I've been around here a lot longer than you and until the post describing how to subscribe w/o actually posting I had no idea it was possible and clearly many other ChipTalkers didn't as well. And for sure a ton still don't. ChipTalk.net has become huge with respect to all the options, buttons, choices, etc. -- so IMO before posting up about how annoyed you are at some of us, and how you think we are lazy, try being respectful and helpful. Your post was neither of those things despite using please & thanks. |

Chips: 1,770 | | | Re: PI Basement- Bargains, Deals Closeouts I had thought, it pretty much goes without saying, that if you post that you are subscribing, it is a public announcment that you are seriously interested and intend to participate later.
This can be useful to the thread creator and/or particiapnts.
Nothing wrong with that.
I've used the subscribe menu at times I really have no business saying anything but want to keep up with what is gonig on, but I also post 'subcribing' (or something polite) when intend to get more involved later.
Either way, regardless of motives or forum knowledge, I think both methods are just fine.
