Palm to launch first ever affordable RFID inlay chips

Beginning sometime next year- as soon perhaps as February- Palm Imports will launch the first affordable RFID inlay chips for the US market.
Operating at 902 mhz UHF with a tagging capability of up to 4 digits- we will market the first affordable rfid tagged chips to see the marketplace ever.

With a tentative price of less then 70 cents per chip INCLUDING the custom printed chip AND RFID for larger quantity orders- placing RFID in the hands of small establishments will be a reality.

4 digit coding can allow each individual denomination chip to have its own unique code- allowing the reader to identify the chip value immediately.

More to follow- we just wanted CT membersto be amongst the first to know what's going on

Cool!

Now I can build my multi-display table to show how much everyone has in front of them and in the pot!

See Sandy Creek! I told you it was coming!

Could someone please give an example on how this technology would be used in a home environment?

You could set active RFID readers into a table and any chip could be counted just by placing the chips on it.

These readings can be displayed, stored, or just inventoried w/o doing any real counting.

Its like anything else- its a cool thing- do you need it? No. Will people buy it JUST because at their next card game when Larry brings his new hotstamped dice chips to show off- you will have one better to show him.... yup.

WHy do people only have KEM cards and Pauslon chips- because they can afford the best. Or custom ceramics with their artwork---

Tournaments will surely want this- they dont really need it- but once you make something out of th ereach of most- affordable- people buy it.

Same with our Surrey and Roadster bikes- years ago they were 4 grand on up- now theyre 2 grand- people can afford em---

Same with plasmas--- more people got em now because theyre more affordable- they dont NEED em- but they got em. We feel the same will happen with RFID and chips-- besides were totally out of new ideas with what to do with poker chips--- ahhhhhhhhh wait a sec- we bought that laser engraver-- never mind-

Re: Palm to launch first ever affordable RFID inlay chips

Joe-
Are you also selling readers or is the buyer on his own for a reader / software package?
