Thx, | Welcome to the little big league
You should probably stay with the $5 entries until you have built up a decent roll. 20x the buyin is the "rule of thumb" for SnG bankrolls. This helps you survive through the swings. When you have ~ 200, then move up to the $10 if you are comfortable.
Pokerstars seems to have better tournament competition at all levels. The $5 ones there do not have as many maniacs as you will see at Party.
Still some wild pay - and patience pays off. The $10 ones are obviously more difficult - as the players there are more patient. Not insurmountable by any meas - but you do not want to jump into them until you can beat the $5 ones consistently. |

Chips: 19 | | I've been thinking about playing the "real money" side, at Pokerstars, also.
Like others have said, " You get some real idiots on the "playmoney" side, always going all-in with garbage. I just like to wait them out, and then bust them out. lol |

Thx, | No substantial difference. Play what your bankroll can handle. If you are playing only tournaments or SNGs, be prepared to see a stretch with no cashes. |

Today though there was one guy doing that at a $10 SnG on FullTilt. He was pissing everyone off going all-in every other hand. He eventually handed me all his chips and I ended-up winning the whole thing. | Yea these guys are what we call pot peelers. Most of them haven't learned poker is a waiting game and think that with slamming raises/all-ins every other hand that they'll end up on top. Funny thing is that they usually end up on top of the losers list or keep re-buying in to try to get their $$$ back. Just don't let 1 of them make you mad enough to call their BULL because about the time you do they'll land that pot big time. Then you'll be the 1 who Muck's themselves. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
