| In previous hands in the first table, he got a huge stack up to about 4-5,000 at the end before the tables merged with the same play:: a small raise, someone re-raising, then he would push it all in, usually with the worst of it.
But, if he was raising with a weak hand, he would fold to the re-raise.
So, I put out the pretty small re-raise because I knew from past hands that if he had a hand such as AQ, AJ, KQ, KJ, JJ, TT, 99, 88 he was going to push me all in (unless he changed it up, which he had not done yet)....or he would fold with a weak hand. So, I put in the raise 99% sure he was going to fold or re-raise all in. I was hoping for the all-in raise, which I got, and it didn't work out.
I guess it would have been the same me pushing all in and getting a fold/call. Probably would have been smarter, so those who asked are correct. But, I wanted all of my chips in, and perhaps an all in push would have made him fold the AJ (2,500 call to win 3,600 shrinks hands like AJ KQ KJ 99 88.). I guess the small re-raise seemed like the best way to get all of the chips in the pot.
