The only reason I ask is because while I play NL exclusively in real life, I am really liking the .5/1 limit tables at PP for building your bankroll. I play about 30 minutes a night after work, and every day so far I have been able to consistenly turn a small profit. I think a large part of it is because of the limit, I do not need to fear having someone go all-in and then having to make a tough decision.
I only make between $10-15 for the half hour (so not a great hourly wage or anything) or so I play so it is not a low but I am going up and for a newer player it is encouraging. And I just want to take care of the raked hands first before trying some SNG's, which is where I think I will have the most success.

Chips: 5,913 | | i am up to about $275 from my instant bankroll i started two weeks ago. I almost exclusively play $25 NL 6 MAX tables.
The key is to find a table where most of the stacks are at or below $20, and the average pot is $2 or less. Then you can sit down an play hyper aggressive poker as long as you watch out for the "Rocks" who will reraise with the nuts.
You must play position and watch closely for the other players to give away their betting patterns. I have bluffed countless pots on the river with nothing by reading a pattern of bluffing from another player. Sometimes they use the insta-raise button, sometimes they will bet on the flop but then check if you call on the turn. Sometimes they make post-oak bluffs with very small amounts into decent pots. IF you watch close enough and note tendencies it is very profitable.
also sign up at www.cardplayer.com for their poker analyst, or set up your own excel file. you can take notes and track your bankroll and learn things about yourself very quickly. I have learned that I play sh*tty poker after midnight if I start by losing a couple of hands. I tend to rush once i get down a little bit late, and try to force my stack back up. Most of my profits are made early in the evening when I am relaxed and not in a hurry.

Chips: 446 | | | Instantbankroll.com is very good, especially for people like me who would never play online poker for cash unless it was free (Can't afford it).
You do need 500 raked hands, but you don't have to contribute to the pot, and the pot only has to be $2 (at least at the 25nl tables I usually am at)
And remember when you sign up to use Merlin as your referal! |

Chips: 1,555 | | | Testimonial time! I just got done finishing earning the cash on the Instant Bankroll program that Merlin14 told us about.
I played about 7 hours while 2-tabling at Party Poker at the $0.50/$1.00 limit hold'em tables. They put $75 into my Party account after I called and talked with them to verify my status.
I'm happy to say the I have $85 that is all mine after all this. I already cashed out most of it and transferred it over to my Poker Stars account.
Nothing beats playing poker with other peoples money and coming out ahead! |

I have gotten $100 absolutely free from Instantbankroll, never spent a cent of my own money. Most sites do give you bonuses when you make a deposit, but Instantbankroll is not like that. It truely is free money! |

Chips: 1,555 | | It was definitely free for me. I got $85 bucks out of it without spending a single penny on Party Poker. Transferred it out with Neteller and put it directly into my Poker Stars account. It was like getting someone else to stake your play. This was the only promo on PSO that was giving it away. All the other promo's you had to put in $100 to get the bonus money. |

Chips: 6,503 | | This promo is the real deal, and is completely free. When they say instant bankroll, they mean it. I was also skeptical at first, but now my brother, myself, and a couple friends have all taken advantage of it. Quote: |

Nothing beats playing poker with other peoples money and coming out ahead! | That is great chipper! I have also been playing the $0.50/$1.00 limit tables and am up to $120 right now with 350 raked hands played. It really is easy to make money at these tables with some patience and a little bit of frugality. Like you I want to use this promo to fund all my online poker playing, including the CT PS tournament events.
I find playing safe works well for me, like if I have two pair but there is a flush or straight out there I use the check/call on the turn or river where it is a $1 bet just in case. When I win the pots are smaller, but I also lose less when someone draws out. Almost everyone calls bets on the flop it seems, mostly because the bet is only $0.50 to see one more card and the pot is usually in the $4-5 range so people with draws can see another card for cheap.
So if ANY members here have not done so, sign up now! You can completely fund the CT tournaments with this promo, as you can probably earn that $11 for the weekly tournament in a single session. It is pretty cool to know that I am now set for my online poker playing needs, and I did not need to use my own money to do so.
