Cool. You should try some of their other promos. I just finished Full Tilt, one of the easiest ones they have. Only need 200 raked hands and you don't even have to contribute to the pot to get credit. Just about got enough points now to get a $200 Target gift card from their store.

I blew my power play money and jumped to royal vegas. Has anyone played this crazy site? Everyhand the nuts shows up (ok not every hand). The flops and cards dealt just don't seem random, I'm not doing bad on the site, just staying patient and waiting for the nuts to drop in my lap. Watch a round, count how often there's 5 cards out that can make a fh, straight or a flush, then watch how many people actually have them. It always seems that there's a made hand o the turn that goes all-in, then comes the river and the other guy hits an unbelievable hand.

Well I cannot speak for Royal Vegas, but I just goo hooked up with the $75 at Party Poker (thanks Merlin) and it was pretty cool.

I have never played limit HE before and knew I had to get in 500 raked hands in order to get the instant bankroll money, so in the first hour I had blown $50 chasing hands while trying to get my raked hands in. At that point I realised there would be no money for me to keep if I continued, so I ignored the rake and just played. The next hour I made back the $50 plus a little extra, and have taken care of 89 raked hands.

It seems limit poker is pretty easy to make money if I just play somewhat tight and pretend it is no limit, except that when I do flop something like top pair with a decent kicker (say flop comes 2 7 T and I have TJ) I cannot force anyone off the pot. People with overcards will stick around because I can only bet 50 cents or $1 depending on the street, but other than that it is pretty fun.

I am going to do 2 tables tonight, just because playing tight on a full table means a lot of folding (I see less than 30% of the flops) so with 2 tables I may be able to maintain my interest easier.

Thanks for the tip Merlin. I signed up for InstantBankroll on Party Poker yesterday. I'm now just waiting for the email message so I can get started.

Gave me an excuse to try out another online poker site. Poker Stars can be a bit challenging at times!

How long did it take to clear the raked hands before you could cash out?

You know you don’t even have to contribute to the pot to get credit for the raked hand right? You just have to be dealt into a hand where the pot hits $5 for it to be raked. I generally play $1/$2 limit so pretty much every pot hits $5 and is raked.

Yeah, it can get a little frustrating when you can’t push someone out of the hand.

It only took me about three days, maybe 6 hours total, to finish 200 raked hands at Full Tilt if that gives you some idea. But also, I generally just play one table at a time.

Thanks guys, glad you’re enjoying. I appreciate the referrals.

Merlin, I was under the impression that I had to have money in a raked pot; whether it be just a small blind before I fold or putting money into the pot all the way to the river. As long as I have contributed to a pot containing at least $5, it is a raked pot and I get credit.

Are you saying if I am on the button and I fold pre-flop, therefore putting nothing into the pot, and the pot is raked it will count as one of my raked hands? That would change my play considerably, because often if I am on the button and I have a feeling the blinds will not raise I will limp solely because with all the limpers the pot is likely to reach $5 and it only costs me 50 cents to get another raked hand.

chipper, my brother finished his raked hands in about two weeks and almost immediately after he was done he received the $25 from PP and was able to withdraw the cash from his PP account to his bank account. I think it will take me about a week, playing 1-2 hours a day and playing two full tables of the .5/1 limit holdem.

Free money is so cool.

That's my understanding. I couldn't do Instant Bankroll because I'd already done another promo with Party, but in that one it was the same way, you still get credit just for being dealt in.

Check out the FAQ from
Instant Bank Roll. [Affiliate link removed by TenPercenter; link is now clean but just as useful as before]

Doesn't say anything about having to contribute in its definition of a raked hand. You might want to e-mail them to verify that but I'm pretty sure you don't.

I just finished the Instant Bankroll promo at PP last night. Mostly, I played the .1/.25 NLHE tables. You don't need to contribute to the pot. As long as it gets raked, you get credit for it. On average, playing one table at a time, I had about 30 raked hands an hour. It took about a week to clear the bonus. The money was credited to my account as soon as the last raked hand was registered.
