Flop comes down KQx, two hearts. | 1) EP acts nearly instantly with a pot sized raise. Well, I've never seen something like this, so I would say I just experienced a lot of lag pre-flop, and the POS client finally caught up just as EP placed his bet. So may put EP on top pair (or maybe queens).
2) EP puts in the same raise but he takes 10 seconds to put it in. Buddy was playing with his bet-slider the whole time trying to get the perfect bet size. But seriously, a pot sized bet looks like someone trying to reduce pot odds, and is scared of a drawing hand. I might even go so far as to say they made two-pair with the x card. Even as I write, I kind of disagree with myself already.
3) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button insta-raises all-in. If your read on the button is correct, I'd say he has something I can't easily beat - maybe trips?? Even if it's a bluff, I'm not in to calling an all-in on the flop unless I have a GREAT hand.
4) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button insta-calls. Again, if your read on the button is correct, I'd put him maybe on a nut flush draw. He doesn't have a hand yet, but is sure he's going to get a big one in the next two cards.
5) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button calls, but takes all his available time. Boy, this is hard to do for the same hand over and over again Button maybe has a middle pocket pair, or might have made a pair of queens too and can't lay it down??
6) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button raises all-in, taking all his available time. Damn it! I don't know!
I just want to go home...
He's bluffing, I push all-in! |

What, if anything, could you consider "telling" about the following actions:
1) EP acts nearly instantly with a pot sized raise. He's either bluffing or hit too many numbers on the number-pad typing in a bet. Bluff or id10t error.
2) EP puts in the same raise but he takes 10 seconds to put it in. Either hit KK or wants you to think he has. Or is drawing to a straight, but that way lies madness. High pair or bluff.
3) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button insta-raises all-in. Trying to buy the pot/reduce pot odds or hit a set and is willing to take only what's in the pot to reduce the risk I hit the nut-straight by slowplaying considering the potential outdraw on the turn.
4) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button insta-calls. This guy has something. It's called syphillis and it's clearly advanced far enough that it is attacking his brain. I'm getting another beer, and then I'm taking his chips.
5) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button calls, but takes all his available time. Button's dog walked into the office where his computer is, frustrating his cat that sits on his lap. Said cat jumped up to cross-**** the dog and scratched the Button's grenis. Button screamed in pain and ran the pets off before remembering he was playing poker, said, "F#@# it!" and calls, forgetting he's R Deckard and he has 72o. I'm getting another beer, and then I'm taking his chips.
6) EP checks, you bet 2/3 pot, button raises all-in, taking all his available time. See #5, except it's me. And it was last night when in addition to all this mess I didn't crack money in 4 consecutive tourneys. And in addition to my dog and cat, my fiancee' came in and started asking me if I had thought about places for out honeymoon since we talked about it three hours earlier. I'm getting another beer, because I just lost all my chips. |
