| Uh oh - watch out - your online poker site will curse your account now and you'll end up losing as much as you cashed out. Then you'll be forced to put in more so you can keep playing! It's true - you've been warned!!! |

Chips: 186 | | | For what its worth I had a chance to "test" this theory recently. I am leaving on an east coast vacation tomorrow, so I cashed out a significant portion of my bankroll--500 bucks. That left only 75.00 left.
So it was with some trepidation that I logged on to play the next day. I did not seem to fall victim to the cashout curse and ended up tripling my 50 dollar buy in 2.5 hours. What I did notice, though, was a disturbingly high number of potential longshout suckouts that I did not chase, but that would have hit big time. I counted 9 times that I would have got runner, runner for a flush or straight if I chased the losing longshot draw.
So perhaps Empire had me in "win" mode, where win means to chase bad draws and surprisingly hit. Perhaps they put you in win mode if you almost clear your bankroll for fear of you busting out and losing your taste for the game or their site.
All of this, of course, assumes you subscribe to any sort of rigged game theory... |

Chips: 684 | | | Seriously, folks, are you just pulling everyone's legs here?
I know that in most -- if not all -- "real" brick-and-mortar casinos, there are rules and regulations that keep the games fair, i.e. truly random. I find it difficult believe that online sites don't have the same kinds of guidelines to keep gameplay fair for everyone. The insinuation being made that the deck is somehow stacked against players who have recently cashed out is ludicrous, IMO. Besides, what would happen when everyone at a table has recently cashed out?
And before anyone accuses me of being naive for not believing this, I must admit that I think anyone who DOES believe this is a bit naive... |
