what online rooms are preferred?
Its been a wihle since ive been on here and posted, almost a year . But i have moved across country and been really busy with work thats my excuse lol. On to the reason for this post. Since i have moved i do not have any casinos near by nor any home games i know of to attend. So i have really gotten into the whole online poker scene and have finally started being able to turn profits. I play on Full Tilt, Ultimate Bet, and Pokerstars. I listed them in the sequence of the sites i prefer pokerstars being the least favorite due to the amount of players in torunaments so they take absolutely forever and the emence amount of fish at the cash tables up to .50/$1 nl. Once you get to $1/$2 on poker stars the play seems better but im no pro so a couple thousand dollar bankroll to entertain that higher buy in is not as common as i would like. I said a couple thousand dollars because i somewhat try to follow the typical bankroll managment so i dont loose everything in one day from hell which seems to be ever so common online. I like Full Tilt the best for the decent quarentee vs. buy in price tourneys and the play at the cash tables imo is great. I like ultimate bet as well since they have HU cash tables in every price range and imo majority of the play is soft. Lately I have been noticing alot more advertisements for new sites but am timid to try them since i have heard no testimonies. If anyone plays on any sites other than the above listed ones and have any suggestions i would appreciate any and all input. Im just curious as to whats out there i might like to try out. Thanks for any input guys.

Between FT and P*, why play anywhere else? Cereus is soft if you're willing to tolerate their change-the-rules-for-rakeback-and-status-points-when-we-feel-like-it attitude. Can't comment much on Cake, Doyle's Room, Bodog, or Carbon.

Re: what online rooms are preferred?
Cereus never heard of that one ill have to read more on it. I made a name on bodog a while back but at the time it was not easy for US depositors to deposit. You had to pay 1million dollars to one of those rip off sites to fund just a few dollars to the site, so i havent even thought about trying it out again. But how is bodog i dont know anyone who plays there. Full tilt is no doubt my favorite but it is time for a change of scenary and some new players.

Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker cheated their players. That's pretty much all you need to know.
Full Tilt and Poker Stars are the largest sites for good reason. Stick with them, at least for now.

Re: what online rooms are preferred?
Yea im not a fan of stars just personal preference. Well that sucks about UB cheating their players i read a little about it. But the plays great there IMO. I was just wanting to try something new out its like going to the same damn bar over and over gets the job done but the faces are always the same. I tried to give sportsbook a try its suppose to be good and take US and canadian players only. But go figure they wouldnt process my deposit request what a bunch of BS. And no its not my fault plenty of funds on the card. It's the same card ive used for funding all my accounts on other sites. So thats a big turn off. Atleast with my first deposit on UB it declined but 30 seconds later i had a phone call from UB appologizing approving the deposit and giving me a free $5 for the trouble.

FTP, Cake, P*'s I love each for their own reasons. If you like FTP why not just play there? I mean I keep like 95% of my roll on FTP for personal reasons, if you like the site why go elsewhere? The days of bonus wh*****g are over

The Cereus is the combines Ultimate Bet/Absolute that has been involved in some shenanigans where cheating was implied. A big pot was also awarded to Phil Helmuth when he lost a hand. This has been publicly acknowledged and was attributed to a fluke software glitch that happened somehow when someone got disconnected. Here is a link to the article in Card Player. Full TIlt is the easiest to deposit money on with the e check option.

Re: what online rooms are preferred?
Yes full tilt does seem to be the favorite among my friends and myself. I was just wanting to give something new a try. The only other site that seemed to even have decent guarentees vs buy in was the sportsbook poker. But that turned out to be a joke by not accepting my deposit. So i guess i will stick to full tilt and just move up in the limits instead of always cashing out lol. I honestly just play for fun to pass the time so making a few bucks doing it is just a perk. But thanks for the reply's.

Re: what online rooms are preferred?
i tried sportsbook about a year and a half/ two years ago...it was great...i can't remember what i deposited , maybe 50 or 100....i started making money right away though...the software was good...players seemed loose....then one day my account was frozen....after several e-mails, and phone calls to them they will not allow me to play on the cake network anymore....they claimed that i was in some type of "funds dumping conspiracy" , and that i had an ip address in euorpe....?????
i lived in a small town on new hampshire in a studio apt, with comcast high speed internet....i tried telling them that they need to investigate more, and that they were wrong but they never got the to the bottom of it still claiming i am involved in the conspiracy.....luckily i did get my money back after a ton of phone calls.... but what the heck ? "funds dumping conspiracy" ? i have no idea what they were even talking about
