Best On-line tracking software?

Hoping to become a stronger on-line player, and am in the market for some tracking software that will help me achieve the desired results ($$$).

Can anyone recommend a program they've found useful?

Thanks,
Soxfan

um, PokerTracker

Many of us here us it though I'm still using release 2. Poker Office and Poker DaVinci (?) are other tools but I don't know much about them.

Where do you play and what games you play? Not every tool supports every site or every game outside of HE.

Re: Best On-line tracking software?

I actually attempted to download a trial-verison of Poker Tracker 3 earlier this evening, only to get lost in the add-on programs the PT software needed to operate properly with Vista. I may try to muscle through it tomorrow if it's worth it. No idea how much it costs yet.

Re: Best On-line tracking software?

I'm in the last 4 days of my free 60 day trial period for Poker Tracker 3. It's good software for sure. JoJo just switched t Hold 'Em Manager and seems to like it more. PT3 is $90-$100 and Hold 'Em manager is $55 for games up to NL50 - it's another $25 to add on the module for games above that. I may try it to compare to PT3 before I invest

Can't help you with that though there are a few other folks here running PT3.

I basically use it for profiling my competition (via PokerAce HUD), tracking my play ($$$ won/loss) and looking at my overall play. I probably don't do enough of the later though.

i use pt3. the program u got lost with is the postgre??? it is kinda confusing for sure. i went through a lot headache to get it set up but it is worth it. also the cost is steep, but again if you play a lot it is worth it.

Re: Best On-line tracking software?

I use Holdem Manager. Actually its pretty good but it makes me angry that they care more about the design of their website instead of finally adding proper tournament support.!!!!!

If you play cash games only, go for it, if not, get PT3.

Re: Best On-line tracking software?

Thanks for all the input! The PT3 program I got lost in was the "postgre" which is required with Vista. The download page isn't very user friendly, and I have yet to crack the code.

Think I'll give Hold'em Manager a shot before banging my head against the PT3 set up again...

any update on if you got it figured out, hold em manager also uses /postgre/ if i am not mistaken.

pt3 was a struggle to get installed for sure. im not sure about the trial but if you actually pay the 90 or whatever you download it with a version if the postgre actually included in the download.

i think the most imprtant things to remember are that if you try and redownload make sure you got rid of previous versions of both pt3 and postgre. you can do this in the add/remove programs....also prolly the most imprtant thing is to "run program as administrator" on any programs u use for poker.

Re: Best On-line tracking software?

At the moment HEM is more mature than PT3 but PT3 should be able to do more the way the software is written once the bugs are worked out.

Both will support FTP without any addons. At the moment HEM seems to be better for cash games than tournaments.

I am a PT2 user and plan to upgrade to either HEM or PT3. Most likely PT3 as I will have a discount because of being a PAH and PT2 owner.
