Pretty cool! (shameless brag)

So I entered a WCOOP 4.40+R on P*s. Top 13 advance to a $320 Main Event Sat. on Sunday. Top finishers for that one advance to $5200 WCOOP main event in September. Woot! I made the $320 satellite. I'm stoked!

Re: Pretty cool! (shameless brag)

I'm thinking now about using my W$ to enter one of the early WCOOP events directly, instead of playing the satellite. Then, if things go well, I will enter the Main Event.

check to see if you can unregister for the satellite - they may give you w$ - which you can use to buy directly into the other wcoop tourneys. Sure - making the main event would be awesome - but playing 1 (and half of another) of the prelims works great too.

I will hijack a bit too - as I totally cheesed on the "loser" tourney last week (had the password page open, had the tourney lobby open, FORGOT to register, lol) - I was also taking down a razz FPP sattelite. WOOT-- "W" is going to the WCOOP on a freeroll. Probably razz - and I will be trying to win another for the HORSE.

IT was actually a pretty soft tournement for those who can stomach razz - 1500FPP turbo freeroll - paid 1 seat for every 9 entries.

Later and GL in the sat

Re: Pretty cool! (shameless brag)

I came up a little short last night/this morning, playing for a $1050 WCOOP ticket. I was THAT close. Still cashed, but no ticket. The play was much softer than I had imagined. I changed up my game a little bit, and tried to watch for the all-in maniacs. One in particular kept reloading till the first break, and managed to hang around till about level 8 or so. There were two or three that were on hyper for the entire rebuy period. Of course, after they couldn't reload any more, they weren't as much of a threat.

End result: (54 players)
5 players got a ticket
6-11th got $93
12th got 70 something

I finished 7th. Not bad, but I was hoping to stay around just a little longer and get my ticket.

W, I like your idea. I will probably start with the 6-max NLHE, and see how that goes. Maybe one other one if I do pretty well.
