(Quick question) would this be considered the "NUTS"

My whole cards:

Flop is:

So as the post title states....would this be considered the nuts?

I bet ..... I had 3 callers....... then 1 all in (late position) and the table follows, I fold.

Re: (Quick question) would this be considered the "NUTS"

and any spade is the second nuts.

If there's a chance for any better hand, it's not the nuts. 3,5 os is dead to any flush, so it's no where near the nuts.

That is what I thought. I argued for about 30 min. against this guy He stated that I wussed out folding the nuts.

He had the same hand as I did but opposite suits. I restated the situation and gave a bunch of numbers and statistics to why I did what I did. I just kept getting the pu**y remark. At the end of the hand someone caught the 2nd nuts and he was dramatically crippled. I said that is why I did what I did, "I didn't have the nuts" I said and neither did you.

Cool thanks everyone for keeping sane, At some point I was like...."am I wrong"?

Leave the guy in believe that he's right. You might get a lot of money from him

At some point I gave up trying to convince the guy. I was thinking man I would love to have this guy at my table during live poker.

There is a chance for this hand to be second nuts by the river, my only hesitaiton with calling it the absolute(mortal) nuts on the flop. But that would be "flopping the nuts".

Example if the flop was A, 2, 4 of spades then 3, 5 spades is the absolute/mortal/dead nuts.
