1st 5 card draw sf

I played this hand by accident...sort of, had A,2,3 to start. As soon as I called the blind I was kicking myself, I had been playing pretty tight and this was a stupid play...oh well.

Holy crap! Nicely done!

5 Card Draw? Didn't think anyone played that outside drunk home games.

Half pot or pot limit 5 card draw is a game for real poker players.

At one of my old home games we would often play this at the end of a long session when it was 4 handed. More money was won and lost on this game than the rest of the night combined. It was not a coincidence that the 1 pro in the game never ever lost.

nice hand.

We've played $1-$3 spread limit 5 draw on occasion - no one likes it but me and the really old guy.

Re: 1st 5 card draw sf

I was tired of playing HE all the time, so that night I played in two SNG, one razz and one 5 card draw and won both, playing patiently and sticking to my game plan. I am trying to become more well rounded at many poker games. I only played jacks or better inthe 5 card game or 4 to a flush or open ended straights. THat's why when I called this hand with only 3 to the flush I was kicking myself for throwing away chips.

People at low levels of these games, play rather poorly in general, there are a few decent players and a bunch of bad players...so it's a bit easier to win at these games.
